Yesterday, the 1st Agricultural Workshop for employees and their families was held at our “Las Moreras” estate, one of the group’s leading farms dedicated mainly to cultivating citrus fruits, with the aim of encouraging human relationships and conveying values such as team spirit, collaboration and respect for the environment.
It was a family day in which, working with the Educational and Interactive Science Museum of the Miguel Hernández University (MUDIC) and in collaboration with our colleagues from the agricultural division, employees and their families were able to learn the basic cultivation techniques through planting tasks, as well as enjoy a day outdoors with other people.
In addition to vegetables, little-known varieties of citrus fruits were planted such as the fingered citron and the kumquat, as well as an original cutting from the fig tree of the poet from Orihuela, Miguel Hernández.
After a busy morning, all those attending enjoyed a large paella in front of the farm’s main building.
