Starting the year with positive acknowledgements from our customers is a powerful stimulus to keep on improving.

For yet another year, several of our residential estates obtained the prestigious Guest Review Award from Booking.com, a distinction achieved when customers give a high percentage of positive reviews after assessing the quality of an establishment, based on criteria such as cleanliness, comfort, location, facilities and services, staff, value for money, and so on.

But, seeing as TM is a developer, how come we have achieved recognition as a vacation manager as well? Here’s why. Although our main activity is building, developing and marketing residential estates, at TM we have been exploring other business lines closely connected to our original mission. Among the many ideas we came up with over our 50-year history, we thought that our homes might also be more productive for their owners when they’re away: What if owners rented out their houses during the times they were absent? This was how Mar Holidays was born, our holiday division where we offer tourist accommodation services for our residential areas on the Mediterranean coast and the Mexican Caribbean.

The Mar Holidays website has its own online booking system, but it has also partnered with Booking.com, which is one of the biggest metasearch engines for travel and holiday accommodation on the internet, meaning that homes at our residential estates can also be reserved via this platform. Booking, like most websites of this type, gives prominence to social interaction between users, in the form of on-site reviews, so user opinions are one of the most important factors influencing accommodation choices. And only a satisfied customer gives a positive review… So, as we stated above, seven of our residential estates have been awarded with this distinction.
