Buying a home is an important milestone for anyone. Analysing the situation well, considering the financial outlay or deciding the location of your new home are some things we always think about before taking the leap but are you aware of all the things that you should take into account when buying a home in Spain? Here are some of them:
Choosing a good location is a wise long-term investment. Choosing a good area will be positive for your daily life, making it easier for you to move around and access services, as well as benefitting you when you decide to sell the home: the better the location, the easier the sale and the better valued the property will be.
This seems like a no-brainer, but it is highly important. Being clear about the home that best suits your needs and not choosing something that does not meet your expectations will greatly facilitate the process.
Choosing a fixed or variable mortgage? When do I have to sign the earnest money contract? Is it necessary to have homeowners insurance? All these questions can arise when formalizing the purchase of a home. Resolving them before starting the process is crucial, you will have decisions to make and having the answers will make the process much easier.
TM Inmobiliario launched a special feature last March titled “Living in Spain” with 5 webinars discussing topics such as investment, the purchase process, sustainability, and teleworking. It was aimed at buyers and future buyers, in which experts from the real estate and legal sector were able to answer attendee questions. Watch it again here.
