EarthCheck certifications are certified by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC), are founded on the principles of the United Nations Sustainable Development Agenda 21 and comply with the Mohonk Agreement, which establishes guidelines and principles for its international sustainable tourism certification programme. The Gold certificate is only obtained after fulfilling the requirements for a period of more than five years, demonstrating the development of the actions through audits performed by its team of specialists.
