A delegation from TM Real Estate Group, led by its president, Ángeles Serna, visited Anantapur and the Vicente Ferrer Campus facilities a few weeks ago, to see first-hand the progress of the project shared with the Foundation and financed by the company, the José Luis Serna Village – Mouthikapuram, which is scheduled to be completed in September this year.
During their stay in India, the group had the chance to attend a meeting with Moncho Ferrer, son of Vicente Ferrer, founder of the NGO, who explained the different programmes that are currently being developed in the region, one of the poorest regions in India.
During the 4-day visit, the delegation was also able to meet the families who have benefited from the 64 houses in the village, which will bear the name of the business group’s founder. They received a warm welcome full of gestures of appreciation.
They also visited different projects such as the Bathalapalli Paediatric Hospital, which has become a leading centre for paediatrics and neonatology, a small medical equipment factory that currently employs around 20 women, and the facilities of one of the 5 inclusive schools for students with different physical, hearing and visual disabilities that the Foundation has opened. The group also had the opportunity to see the grave of Vicente Ferrer.
In the words of the president of the TM Real Estate Group, “the visit to Anantapur has been a unique experience where we have been able to appreciate the enormous social transformation as a result of the foundation’s work and how they are changing the life of thousands of people”.
