Cala or Caló d’en Marçal is just a kilometre away from the new TM apartment complex in Portocolom. This white sand beach is very relaxed, both for its vibe and crystal clear water, and offers visitors a range of facilities and services. The beach has been awarded a blue flag for 2019. It is the largest and easiest to get to beach around Felantix. For those who love tranquillity and a spot of exercise, we would recommend a walk around the surrounding area followed by a rest under its lovely pine trees; the ideal place to take a break from the summer heat.
Playa Casa Blanca, Marbella
Located on the “golden mile” in Marbella, in the Marbella Club development, this lovely 2019 blue flag beach has a recently built promenade which is well-used and offers good services. Its beach bars are ideal for sipping on a cocktail or getting a bite to eat. Or if you fancy a completely relaxing day, you can get a massage at one of the various tents. Our suggestion would be renting a bike to explore the promenade and surrounding areas at sunset. The best way to round off a perfect summer’s day.
Playa Calipso at San Juan de los Terreros, Almeria
Playa Calipso is a 250 metre, golden sand beach which boasts a 2019 blue flag. The beach is regularly cleaned and offers disabled access, public bathrooms, showers, footwash, lifeguards, parasols, hammocks, etc.
Closer at hand and just in front of the Mar de Pulpí Pueblo Mediterráneo, you can rent kayaks for a paddle along this beautiful stretch of the Gulf of Almeria. The best way to watch the sunset with the feel of a breeze and the freshness of the sea on your skin. Cala La Mosca in Playa Flamenca, Orihuela Costa

Whether you are new to diving or want to take your expertise to the next level, you will love the experience, which we promise will be unforgettable.
Playa Arenales del Sol, Elche
This spectacular beach replete with dunes and pine forests in the north of Elche offers a unique environment that still retains the character of an unspoiled beach, with large areas of golden sand and areas of great ecological significance. Awarded the blue flag in 2018, its calm waters and coastal dune ecosystems make it one of the most treasured on the Alicante coast, both for the quality of its waters and the richness of its seabed. It is also connected to the Clot de Galvany nature spot, a wetland located between the urban areas of Arenales del Sol and Gran Alacant (in the municipality of Santa Pola). The beach has large parking areas, lifeguards, a tourist information point, umbrella and hammock service, and beach bars. If you are a fan of water sports or would like to give them a go, Arenales is the perfect place. What better way to welcome the summer than with a refresher course in paddle boarding!
San Juan, Alicante
Undoubtedly one of the most well-known and treasured beaches of Alicante, this extensive beach consists of seven kilometres of fine sand and is located in a residential area which is very popular in the summer months and very quiet the rest of the year. The beach, which was awarded a blue flag in 2018, has areas for playing various sports including beach volleyball and mini football, as well as areas for doing water sports such as windsurfing. Its extensive promenade contains amenities and shops where you will find handicrafts, beachwear, games and accessories as well as numerous restaurants and beach bars. Areas containing playgrounds, slides, swings and stalls make this fabulous beach the complete package.
We recommend a refreshing excursion onpedal boats, the best way to enjoy fabulous views of the Alicante coast while exploring the local bay.
Playa de Poniente, Benidorm
Playa de Poniente stretches from Benidorm’s Old Town to the neighbouring Cala de Finestrat. Awarded the blue flag in 2019, it is the largest beach in the municipality, more than 3 km long and 105m wide. Its nearby promenade hosts a large number of restaurants, bars and venues on top of a wide range of amenities and leisure facilities that include: floating platforms, beach libraries, children’s games, recreational-sports games, shaded areas for reading and accessible beach facilities.
There are also numerous options for doing water sports. On this occasion, we recommend a 30-minute jet-ski ride to Benidorm island. Like to give it a go?
El Arenal-Bol, Calpe
This beach is covered in fine sand, with the exception of the Roman rock baths, and has been awarded the blue flag for 2019. A beach that has everything in its surrounding area: views, history, nature, amenities … We suggest a hiking tour through one of the most beautiful coastal areas in the region. Begin at Calpe’s seafront promenade, stopping at the Baños de la Reina (Queen’s Baths) to check out the baths and their archaeological sites. Then, head towards the Peñón de Ifach Natural Park, bordering the municipality’s spectacular landmark feature, and continue with the Principado de Asturias ecological walk to enjoy incredible panoramic views of Benidorm. To finish, visit the Salinas de Calpe to watch the flamingos in their natural habitat. Sounds good, right?
