For the second year in a row, TM Real Estate Group and Molina de Segura’s City Council have collaborated with the Red Cross to facilitate access to housing for families in the municipality who are in vulnerable situations.
The signing of the collaboration agreements between the TM Real Estate Group and the Spanish Red Cross in Molina de Segura for the “Financial Aid Project for Rental Housing” and the nominative subsidy agreement between the City Council and the Red Cross for financial aid for rental housing, took place this morning at the City Council.
It was attended by the mayor, Esther Clavero, the councillor for Housing, Mariano Vicente, the president of the TM Real Estate Group, Ángeles Serna, and the president of the Red Cross in Molina de Segura, Mª José Almagro.
Through this collaboration agreement, TM Real Estate Group is renewing its commitment to collaborate with the Spanish Red Cross in Molina de Segura with an economic contribution that will be used to partially pay the rent for families who are in vulnerable situations when it comes to accessing housing.
For its part, the agreement signed between the City Council of Molina de Segura and the Spanish Red Cross plans on granting a nominative subsidy to the Red Cross for the execution of the financial aid project provided to family units in Molina de Segura who live in rental housing and are in vulnerable situations.
The financial aid that both the City Council and the TM Real Estate Group will contribute to the development of the global project amounts to a total of €40,000, which is expected to help about 80 families in the municipality.
This programme was launched last year in 2018, and has been able to help around 60 families with the payment of two months of rent. Of these families, 9 were made up of young people under the age of 35 and 6 families had members over the age of 65. Of the 60 family units, 14 were single parents and there were 15 large families.
The signing of this agreement is part of the scope of the TM Real Estate Group’s Corporate Social Responsibility Policy as a commitment to promoting access to housing for people without sufficient resources and contributing to the development of the communities where it operates, and is added to the similar agreement signed by the company on June 13th with the City Council of Pulpí.
