TM Real Estate Group, Alicante’s leading holding company in the residential, hotel and responsible holiday tourism sector, which specialises in building and developing homes along the Mediterranean and Caribbean coasts, continues its international sustainable tourism tour in Luxembourg. With the collaboration of Valencia CF, LALIGA, INNSiDE by Meliá Luxembourg and the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, it held an event which was attended by businesspeople, investors, customers and institutional representatives from the country.

TM shared with the participants the company’s sustainability and corporate responsibility strategy, structured into its new Master Plan with 50 environmental, social and good governance goals around the strategic pillars of climate action, sustainable construction, people and shared social value. Jorge Blay, Head of European Offices at TM welcomed ‘the chance to share TM’s sustainability vision on this international tour of after-work events that has just arrived in Luxembourg, one of the countries whose customers have shown the greatest interest in this topic, turning it into one of the main factors for investment decisions.’

This interest in sustainable real estate investment in the Mediterranean area was in fact one of the aspects highlighted by Joseba Arriortua, Vice-Chairperson of the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, ‘We’re getting more and more queries from residents of Luxembourg and Belgium who want to invest in the Mediterranean area, particularly in the region and city of Valencia. These events enable us to showcase sectors such as residential tourism and construction that are pioneering and competitive in terms of sustainability’.

Julio Díaz, Minister-Counsellor at the Embassy of Spain in Luxembourg confirmed Luxembourg’s enormous financial capacity and the importance of promoting the Spain brand among its investors, ‘From a professional point of view and as an embassy, any event of this kind that involves bringing Spain to Luxembourg is clearly important. There’s plenty of capital here looking for investment opportunities, so it’s great that they’re promoting Spain, the Mediterranean area and Valencia’.

Andrea Oriol, LALIGA Global Network Benelux Delegate, expressed her pride at the commitment of LALIGA and its clubs to support sustainability, ‘I believe we can be proud of how we’ve all become involved in promoting sustainable tourism on the international stage, sharing our strategies, experiences and successes. Thanks to the support of our partner TM Real Estate Group, we have the opportunity to spread the word across different European countries’. Likewise, Marco Cucco, Global Business Development Manager of Valencia CF stressed the importance of ‘supporting the international expansion of our main sponsor, as well as that of our club and LALIGA’.

On behalf of Hotel Meliá, Javier Segura, Resident Manager at INNSiDE by Luxembourg emphasised how ‘sustainability is one of the key pillars of Hotel Meliá and INNSiDE by Luxembourg within the 2030 Agenda. For two years running, we’ve been chosen as the world’s most sustainable hotel chain, which is something we’re really proud of. We share with Valencia Club de Fútbol and TM Real Estate Group the 2030 Agenda and an unwavering commitment to sustainability as a strategic and key element for responsible tourism development’.
