The Costa Blanca offers you a wealth of ideas for this summer. From north to south, beaches and mountains, water parks and islands… you will find everything you need to enjoy the Mediterranean like never before! Here are eight ideas that are an absolute must for this summer on the Costa Blanca.

Enjoy Poniente beach in Benidorm

Poniente beach is one of the gems of the Mediterranean, spanning more than three kilometres right in the heart of Benidorm. This beach in the heart of the city has a promenade offering many different types of bars, restaurants and shops. Poniente beach also has a wide range of beach activities such as floating swim platforms, children’s playgrounds, shady areas and disabled access to beaches. Have fun in the sun from dawn to dusk! The Sunset Cliffs by TM and Sunset Sailors by TM residential developments are just 50 metres away from Poniente beach.

Spend a day on Tabarca Island

Tabarca Island is the only inhabited island in the Region of Valencia and is opposite the town of Santa Pola. You can get there by boat from Santa Pola, Benidorm, Alicante or Torrevieja. It’s a great idea to spend a day on Tabarca Island. It’s a paradise for diving and snorkelling enthusiasts, as well as for foodies, and it’s got such a wonderfully serene vibe. Tucked along its length of 1,800 metres are white houses, restaurants specialising in fish and seafood and stunning beaches and coves where you can dive into its crystal-clear waters and explore the marine life of Tabarca.

Fall in love with the sunset over the Laguna Rosa in Torrevieja

One place you’ll definitely fall in love with is the Laguna Rosa (‘Pink Lake’) in Torrevieja. The famous salt lake, known for the pink hue of its waters, is in the city of Torrevieja. Watching the sun set from this spot is absolutely magical. On the horizon you can see the flamingos that take refuge in the Laguna Rosa in Torrevieja and the Las Lagunas de La Mata Nature Reserve. And if you fancy spending the day in Torrevieja, you simply can’t miss the best beaches and coves in Torrevieja. Have fun at Aqualandia water park

If you’re a fan of amusement parks, enjoy a great day out at Aqualandia water park this summer! It’s known as one of the largest water parks in Europe and it’s in the city of Benidorm. You’ll be spoilt for choice with its array of water attractions, designed for all ages and to suit all tastes, from the most family-friendly to the most daring. You’ll find Verti-Go, the highest capsule slide in Europe, the Cyclón attraction and the wave pool together with The Amazon river. Take a dip in Les Fonts d’Algar

Les Fonts d’Algar is a beautiful nature reserve found in Callosa d’en Sarrià, just 15 km away from Benidorm. This natural setting takes you on a walk of one and a half kilometres along the Algar River, amidst cliffs, waterfalls and green spaces. The cool, crystal-clear waters of the many pools and streams are perfect for taking a dip in the height of summer to beat the heat in the heart of nature. You can plan on spending the day there as there’s a picnic area, outdoor parking areas and several restaurants.

Go snorkelling in Cala del Moraig or Cala del Portitxol

If you love seeing marine life up close and diving into crystal-clear waters, visit Cala del Moraig in Benitatxell and Cala de Portitxol in Jávea this summer. Cala del Moraig, surrounded by cliffs and a magnificent seabed – the epitome of nature at its best – is the perfect spot for snorkelling. Cala de Portitxol is famous for its crystal-clear blue waters, its fisherman’s huts and its white pebbles. For diving and snorkelling enthusiasts, it’s an amazing spot to indulge their passions.

Go for a stroll around Altea old town

Altea is a charming town and nobody wandering through its narrow, cobblestone streets and white houses can resist falling in love with it. The town square and the Nuestra Señora del Consuelo church can be found in the heart of its old town.
