The Group has commemorated its 50th anniversary with a great event full of memories and surprises for all its stakeholders with extensive institutional representation which was chaired by the president of the Valencia Regional Government, Ximo Puig, who referred to TM as "one of the most important companies in the Community, which has known, not only how to endure during complex years, but also to progress and generate wealth and jobs"
TM Real Estate Group has celebrated its 50th Anniversary with a grand event in Torrevieja, under the motto "50 Years with you on the Horizon", where it brought together more than 700 people among which were employees, collaborators, suppliers, clients, institutions and friends. Because celebrating such an important milestone would not have been possible without all the people who have shared the last 50 years with the company.
Through videos, performances, testimonials and a lot of humour, those attending the gala, hosted by the Valencian presenter, Maribel Vilaplana, had the opportunity to recall some of the highlights of the group's history, its evolution and its future plans; pay homage to the founder, Mr José Luis Serna, and pay tribute to him and his family values with his wife Mrs Joaquina Lorente; in addition to highlighting the values that are part of the company's DNA.
Among the attendees were renowned personalities such as the president of the Valencia Regional Government, the president of the Provincial Council of Alicante, regional mayors, senior officials of the Valencia Regional Government, deputies of the Congress and of the Courts, the rectors of the University of Alicante and the Miguel Hernández University, as well as the top representatives of the main business organisations such as the Chamber of Commerce of Alicante, the Valencian Confederation of Entrepreneurs (CEV), the Association of Family Business of Alicante (AEFA) and the Association of Real Estate Developers of the Alicante province (PROVIA).
After the accreditations and photos, the event began with a minute's silence being observed in support and remembrance of the victims and those affected by Dana.
strong>Ángeles Serna, Group President, got the event off to a start by highlighting that "in the end the important thing is not how many years one has lived, but how those years have been lived, and ours have been full of passion, effort and perseverance, responsibility and ethics in business management, with a strong vocation for the client, always giving our best".<
She noted that one of TM's successes has been its ability to manage the business through ethics, transparency and responsibility, as well as adapting to changes without losing its essence: "There are currently 1500 of us, a big family. We have a strong commitment to the responsible management of the company and generating a positive impact on our region and on each one of you". In this sense, she recalled that TM Real Estate Group is adhered to the International Covenant on Human Rights and the 2030 Agenda, among other initiatives.
The president also expressed words of gratitude to each of the company's interest groups and those present, recognising that "all of you have made it possible for us to celebrate this anniversary today, because TM is still going strong thanks to you".
Later, and after a series of performances to liven up the gala, the mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolón, took the floor to congratulate the company for being part of the city and took the opportunity to request the support of the administrations so that they can provide the infrastructure that entrepreneurs and companies of Vega Baja need.
On his part, Ximo Puig, President of the Valencia Regional Government, highlighted the principles on which TM is based, referring to the company as "one of the most relevant in the Community, which has known not only how to persevere during these complex years, but also to advance and generate wealth and jobs".
The last person to speak was Pablo Serna, CEO of TM Real Estate Group, who went over the company´s history, referring to the keys that have allowed it to keep the company going in such good health after 50 years. In this regard, he highlighted the financial prudence with which they have been facing the different stages of the company and the commitment to very specific niche markets. "We have gone from being a small family business that was set up in Orihuela, to becoming an international company, with several lines of business that reflect the company´s entrepreneurial vision".
Furthermore, Pablo Serna referred to the new 2020-23 strategic plan, with the objective of, among others, improving operational efficiency, enhancing digitalisation, continuing with innovation and continuously improving, as well as internationalisation, to present the best of what it has to offer to a demanding market
Finally, the Company´s CEO thanked all employees, suppliers, clients and friends and again reiterated TM Group´s support to families affected by Dana. In this regard, he announced a donation of 50,000 euros and the temporary transfer of 50 homes to people who have been left homeless.
One of the most emotional moments of the event was the homage to José Luis Serna, creator of the company in 1969 as well as the tribute to Joaquina Lorente, his wife, who was present at the event and who collected an award from their grandchildren, the third generation of the family business. Ángeles Serna, thanked her mother on behalf of the family "for helping to boost our goals over the past 50 years".
The tribute to the founder was preceded by an emotional video with participation from employees, collaborators and friends of the company.
Among the surprises prepared for the guests, the highlight was the performance by the comedian Carlos Latre who went over the company´s milestones and history, with a touch of humour.
To finish things off, the video "A horizon of the future" was shown, dedicated to the People, to the thousands of stories that have become part of TM´s history.
After the gala, attendees had the opportunity to taste the typical dishes of Mediterranean and Mexican cuisine, typical of the areas where TM is present, and a party full of surprises.
A special evening that culminated in a pyrotechnic show, with which TM Real Estate Group wanted to honour all the people who have accompanied it throughout its 5 decades and who have made it possible for the company to be the company it is today.
